Confidence, Trust and Hope

Confidence, Trust and Hope are the 3 things that can make anyone's life more positive and easier. Many authors have defined these three in different ways and many books have been written on these topics just to highlight their importance in life but if we just observe and see keenly our daily life and practices we can have many examples which are easy to understand. I am sharing here such three examples that help me to understand these three and do hope it gonna help you all too..

~Confidence~
Once, all the people in the city decided to pray of the rain. On the day the prayer all people gathered and a young boy came with an Umbrella, that's Confidence.

~Trust~
Trust should be like the feeling of a baby when you through him in the air, he laughs... because he knows you'll catch him; thats Trust.

~Hope~
Every night we go to bed, we have no assurance to get up alive in the next morning but still we have plans for the up coming day; that's Hope.

'Open Book'

OK, I have been tagged by Eric for this Meme, titled to be ‘Open Book’. So here are the instructions below:

1. Pick up the nearest book.
2. Open it at page 123.
3. Find the fifth sentence/ phrase.
4. Blog the next four sentences/ phrases together with these instructions.
5. Don't you dare dig your shelves for that very special or intellectual book.
6. Pass it forward to six friends

Well like you Eric even I don’t have much reading habit and I hardly read very few recommended books by my friends around and those are mostly related to poetry, psychology, life, emotions, feelings, and topics like that.. Anyhow I have been gifted this book that I am going to talk about here which is titled to be ‘Treasury of Joy & Enthusiasm’ written by one of my all time favorite and very inspirational writer Norman Vincent Peale. I have read his few other books as well that I really liked and would love to recommend everyone around like ‘Power of Positive thinking’, ‘The new art of living’, ‘The amazing results of positive thinking’, and so on… these books are truly gems and make anyone’s life easier and happier then ever before..

Anyhow coming back to the tag here are the sentences 16-19 on page no. 123:

Naturally I wanted to know the secret, so later I asked him.
“There is no secret,” he said. “All I did was to start using that idea of taking God as your partner. Now, every day of my life I read the New Testament; it is filled to over flowing with life.”

Now lastly as per the rules I would like to pass on this tag to my following blog fellows:

  • Noushy
  • Exseno
  • Rajji
  • Cergie
  • Magiceye
  • Andrew

Be of Value

God gifted everyone in this world something special in him/her but unfortunately very few of us realize it and utilize it as it should be. Life bring us all chances to proof our self and enjoy success. There are many around who are spoiling their life and passing their time in depression and frustration just because of their own negative thinking.

It’s a fact that when you're worried about what you can get out of the deal, you won't get very much. Yet when you focus on what you can give, a whole universe of positive possibilities will open up to you. There is always work that needs to be done. There is always a way to make a positive contribution. There are countless ways to be of service, to be of value. And to be of value is the very best way to create value, in your own life and in the world around you.

You don't need anyone else's permission to make a positive contribution to life. All you need to do is open your eyes. It's just look around you, with a genuine sense of caring for the needs of others. In every direction, you'll see countless opportunities for making a positive difference. If you seek real confidence, richness and fulfillment, then step up, take the initiative, and be of real value. It will bring true, lasting and meaningful success.

Feelings...

We all human beings have different ways to express our feelings, our thoughts & point of views. Some express through paintings, some through writing articles, stories or poetries, some through music, hence there are many ways of expressions… so I write poetries & short articles here at my blog to express myself, my thoughts, my views, my feelings and my beliefs…

Personally I m not that good in expressing my feelings or concern for anyone verbally and because of this people around me mostly have complains and misunderstands me and at times this thing truly hurts me & irritates me a lot… I always use to think why words are that important? Why expression is required? Why for people artificial expressions are more important then true feelings? Why cant people look into heart? Why they need a proof??

Anyhow few years back I wrote poetry that was basically in urdu on a topic ‘Feelings’ and that was actually based on my belief that true feelings don’t need any help of words or other materialistic or artificial sources to be conveyed to the other party. Gifts, words all are meaningless if your heart is empty and you are poor in your actions.. but yeah on the other hand I do accept the fact that gifts, verbal expression make life beautiful and a relationship more stronger.. but again main thing is one’s true feelings without which everything is meaningless… I wish people can understand this and at least to our close relationships we don’t need to give a proof all the time..

Food for Soul..
  • Don't underestimate the power of a touch, a smile, a kind word, a listening ear,
an honest compliment, or the smallest act of caring,

all of which have the potential to turn
    a life around....
  • Life ends when you stop Dreaming, Hope ends when you stop Believing,
Love ends when you stop Caring, Friendship ends when you stop Sharing...
  • Every moment, every situation, every issue and every concern
    has a positive side.
Find it and bring it to life....
  • Be Genuinely Interested in People. If you try, you can like everybody,
    and
    Everybody will like you.....
  • When you find a Dream inside your heart don't ever let it go, Dreams are the tiny seeds from which Beautiful Tomorrows Grow..
  • Learn to understand first and to be understood second.
  • Be Alert to give Service..... What we do for others counts most in life...
  • If you see someone without a smile, give them one of yours!

Negative Words..

There are many words in the dictionary that are been considered negative and whenever we use or heard them a negative impression comes in our mind… but if we think deeply we’ll get to know that how positively they are impacting our life..

Peril, catastrophe and disaster are words that can make anyone easily scared and consider to be most discouraging words… but I would define them as our friends, allies and mentors.

Appearing as enemies on the surface, these seeming threats are our most helpful teachers on our Earth adventure. These apparent foes repeatedly demonstrate how we humans have awesome power over our fate and circumstances in life.

have nice times..

The Secret
Well I have received this thought provoking short story through a forward mail and I found it truly worth sharing so here it is for all my readers, hope you all gonna understand and follow this in your life and have a happy, peaceful life..
One day, one friend asked another, "How is it that you are always so happy? You have so much energy, and you never seem to get down." With her eyes smiling, she said, "I know the Secret!"... "What secret is that?" to which she replied, "I'll tell you all about it, but you have to promise to share the Secret with others." "The Secret is this: I have learned there is little I can do in my life that will make me truly happy. I must depend on God to make me happy and to meet my needs. When a need arises in my life, I have to trust God to supply according to HIS riches. I have learned most of the time I don't need half of what I think I do. He has never let me down. Since I learned that 'Secret,' I am happy." The questioner's first thought was, "That's too simple!" But upon reflecting over her own life she recalled how she thought a bigger house would make her happy, but it didn't! She thought a better paying job would make her happy, but it hadn't. When did she realize her greatest happiness? Sitting on the floor with her grandchildren, playing games, eating pizza or reading a story, a simple gift from God. Now you know it too! We can't depend on people to make us happy. Only GOD in His infinite wisdom can do that. So trust God!

~~ Everything Happens for a reason ~~

Everything happens for a reason. Nothing happens by chance or by means of luck. Its just that if we start thinking positively we’ll see that whether it’s Illness, love, lost moments of true greatness and sheer stupidity all occur to test limits of our soul and bringing us something positive in the end. If we think practically then we’ll admit the fact that without being ill we never realize the importance of good health in life, similarly unless we face failures we cannot have a real taste of success, and after being hurt, hated or cheated by others we understands the true meaning & value of love in life…

Without these small tests, life would be like a smoothly paved, straight, flat road to nowhere safe and comfortable but dull and utterly pointless.

Sometimes things happen to you at the time that may seem horrible, painful and unfair, but in reflection you realize that without overcoming those obstacles you would never realize your potential, strength, will power or heart. These problems are sometimes to test us by God because in return He wanted us to be rewarded something much better.

I have seen many around who over react, got worried or hyper whenever they have to face any problem in life. Similarly people who are lucky enough to achieve their goals in life think of themselves someone extra ordinary, superior then of others and they become proud but forget that nothing is permanent in this world and unfortunately when that thing is been taken away from them they start blaming or become frustrated or extremely depressed and loose all their interest in rest other things in the world... so what I think is that its just a matter of thinking.... we should think and understand deeply the outcome of each n everything in life very positively because everything happens for a reason, what if something bad happen to us or anything precious is being taken away from us then in return for sure our God who loves us more then anyone in the world do bring us something better... we all do mistakes in life but mistakes are to teach us lessons and after learning our lesson which is off course a positive outcome we should move further we new ambitions in life rather then regretting & loosing hope.. whatever whether positive or negative we experience in life teaches us something or bring us something positive in the end.. so rather then looking into the drawbacks or losses we should find out what we are achieving besides loosing anything... all its a game of faith in God and positive thinking...

May God help us all to start thinking and taking things positively in life (Ameen)

Best Regards,

Samrina

Though I never got any interest in politics or in politicians as it always make me depressed and confused as I can never make it out that who is right or wrong but being a part of the nation and being a Pakistani whatever happen around in my country and people around always effects me and hurts me whenever I see any trouble or sufferings around...

Its been long now that whole Pakistani nation is facing this endless, long period of turmoil and uncertainty, and worst civil war. Dozens of innocent people are been killed without any reason, lots of losses in businesses, strikes.... just for the sake of nothing...

It's truly so painful to write all this but I believe one should have courage to face the cruel realities of life... I don't know exactly why I am writing all this may be just to share my depression or to prove myself as a Pakistani who is strong enough to digest these bitter, cruel realities scattered around or just to clarify world that all are not same, all Pakistanis are not bad or terrorists as been labeled, we also have heart, we do feel pain, but yeah I do accept that few of us are doing wrong and just because of them all Pakistanis all around the world are been seen with the eyes of doubts, been given disrespect and just because these few wicked people whole nation is suffering...

I hope you all are aware with the most recent & terrible incident happened here at the part of world I belong to and i.e. one more miserable bomb blast that not only killed former Pakistan prime minister Benazir Bhutto but also 20 other poor people along... on December 27, 2007 it was not the end of the story unfortunately its been three days now that whole Pakistani nation is suffering just because of the stupid, emotional people around who burnt hundreds of vehicles, shops, factories and killed about 15-20 more people all over the country.... I don't know what's the purpose behind? whats the use? why they are killing innocent people? why creating problems for poor people? why asking others who did nothing wrong to suffer? what they will get from doing all this?? why don't they think just because of their stupid actions whole nation have to suffer??

I just hope & pray for the betterment & peace around and need your all prayers too for my people & my country...
May God bless all..

Visit to Multan (Part 2)

Well in first part of the post I have already provide you with a brief introduction about the city I visited i.e. Multan and now in this last part I would like to share my colorful thoughts and eperiences regarding the main reason for which I basically visited there i.e. to attend a wedding of few of our family friends settled there. You must be thinking now that being living in Pakistan there shouldn’t be anything new & surprising for me at least to be that excited & to write about but honestly speaking that was all new for me too. Things and traditions that I just use to listen from my elders so far I have seen & experienced at my own for the very first time in my life. Bhangra (traditional dance), a group of musical band in uniform along with barat, groom riding on a horse, and lots more small traditional things….

Luckily I gotta chance to visit a village in my trip and truly loved the beauty of nature there, I can’t forget the innocence & simplicity, hospitality & love of people there is memorable. Without any relationship and without any mean reason everyone want us to visit their place may be just for a minute. Small gifts that they gifted were so precious like anything. Peace & purity there was unforgettable…

Well it was just an attempt to portrait and write in words whatever i have seen and experienced there. This is first time actually that I tried to write anything like that and I don't know to what extend I am successful i it but anyhow I hope you guys have enjoyed pictures at least that I have posted here :)

Samrina

Visit to Multan...

As per I said in my earlier post that I was out of city for vaccations and gonna write about my visit in detail so here I am publishing the first part of the post as there are many things that I really wanna share here. I have been asked by my several readers to write about my country, traditions and culture so here I am publishing for the very first time at my blog something related to my country and that is a brief introduction about a beautiful, small, full of traditional colors city called to be Multan that I luckily gotta chance to visit recently.

Well Multan is known as the 'City of Sufi Saints and Shrines'. The city is full of bazars (markets), mosques, shrines and superbly designed tombs. The numerous Sufi shrines within the old city offer impressive examples of workmanship and architecture. The Shams-e Tabriz shrine is built almost entirely of sky-blue engraved glazed bricks. That of Shah Rukn-e Alam (Tughlaq period) has one of the biggest domes in Asia. The shrine of Sheikh Yusuf Gardez is a masterpiece of the Multani style. Other shrines include the Pahladpuri Temple and the Idgah Mosque (1735).

City can be divided into parts one old Multan with old, traditional buildings and markets where people still follow old cultural values and live with the purely old tradional style in a very simple way. Whereas there is a modern brand new Multan city that holds all the modern looks and facilities.

Basically I belong to Karachi one of the biggest cities of Pakistan where life is as like as in the other big cities of of the world. I have been visited several other cities of Pakistan too but if I compare Karachi with them especially small cities like Multan then I must say that life here in Karachi is much faster and different. Simplicity is the most highlighted difference that I found there in both people and their life styles and that truly admired and attracted me as it is truly rare in other big, advanced cities.

(to be contd.)

Thanks to all...

Hi to all,

Well first of all I wanna express my gratitude and deep thanks to all my blog friends for all their concern and love, I am truly honored and glad to read all the words left in my absence here.

I am sorry I couldn’t inform earlier that I am leaving for vacations. It was such a nice experience of my life to visit for the very first time interior Punjab and attend such a colorful, purely traditional wedding ceremony there. I’ll write in detail about all this along with the pictures that I took at places there in my next post in a day or two. Hope you all gonna like and enjoy it too.

Once again thanks a lot to all my blog friends. Hope you all are doing well.

Value of parents...

I have read this thought provoking and a short story with a valuable lesson in it few days and found it really worth sharing so here it is for all my readers. Hope you all gonna agreed with it too.

An 80 year old man was sitting on the sofa in his house along
with his 45 years old highly educated son. Suddenly a crow
perched on their window.
The Father asked his Son, "What is this?"
The Son replied "It is a crow".
After a few minutes, the Father asked his Son the 2nd time,
"What is this?"
The Son said "Father, I have just now told you "It's a crow".
After a little while, the old Father again asked his Son the 3rd time, What is this?"
At this time some ex-pression of irritation was felt in the Son's
tone when he said to his Father with a rebuff. "It's a crow, a
crow".
A little after, the Father again asked his Son t he 4th time,
"What is this?"
This time the Son shouted at his Father, "Why do you keep
asking me the same question again and again, although I have
told you so many times 'IT IS A CROW'. Are you not able to
understand this?"
A little later the Father went to his room and came back with an
old tattered diary, which he had maintained since his Son was
born. On opening a page, he asked his Son to read that page.
When the son read it, the following words were written in the
diary :-
"Today my little son aged three was sitting with me on the sofa,
when a crow was sitting on the window. My Son asked me 23
times what it was, and I replied to him all 23 times that it was a
Crow. I hugged him lovingly each time h e asked me the same
question again and again for 23 times. I did not at all feel
irritated I rather felt affection for my innocent child".
While the little child asked him 23 times "What is this", the
Father had felt no irritation in replying to the same question all
23 times and when today the Father asked his Son the same
question just 4 times, the Son felt irritated and annoyed.

So..

If your parents attain old age, do not repulse them or look at
them as a burden, but speak to them a gracious word, be cool,
obedient, humble and kind to them. Be considerate to your
parents. From today say this aloud, "I want to see my parents
happy forever. They have cared for me ever since I was a little
child. They have always showered their selfless love on me.

They crossed all mountains and valleys without seeing the storm
and heat to make me a person presentable in the society today".
Say a prayer to God, "I will serve my old parents in the BEST
way. I will say all good and kind words to my dear parents, no
matter how they behave.

Parents are precious gift of God just ask the value of parents who have lost them....

Best Regards,

Samrina

What Is Hope??

Hope is knowing that a positive outcome awaits.

Hope is not only expecting a dream to come true,
but also having a deep assurance
that it's within your reach.

Hope is saying you can.

Hope is knowing that you can improve
and that you always get better with practice.

Hope is knowing that you can achieve your goals
through hard work and persistence.

Hope is looking to the future with joy
and having an expectation of
better things to come.

Hope is the knowledge that life is everlasting,
and that miracles happen every day.

Hope is something that never abandons you.
Even when your life is filled with
sadness and disappointment,
a spark remains inside to help you
get through the rough times.

Hope is one of God's greatest gifts to you,
because it's the magic that inspires you
to keep trying, learning, loving, and living.

I have found that if you love life, life will love you back!

Secret of LIfe...

The secret of life is to make the best
of whatever comes along,
Make every day fresh and new,
Go in search of knowledge and experience.

Let your questions and
your answers reconcile.
Do your best to remember
that the best kind of learning curve
is an educated smile.

Share your magic with the people
who share your memories.
Let your feelings run deep.
Be in touch with the people
who live in your heart.
Be a caring person who plays for keeps.

To really know what success means, earn it.
Don't rely on some elevator to get you there.
The higher the floor you want to reach,
the more important it is to take the stair.

The easiest lessons to remember
are the ones you learn the hard way!

Appreciate the little things
that make each day
unique and special.

Have A Beautiful Life!!!

I DON'T UNDERSTAND..

Why we can't have morality without dictating religion.
Why we can't have differences without hatred.
Why we can't have disagreements without belittlements.
Why we can't love a higher spirit, but each in our own way.
Why we can't feed the homeless but can rebuild the world.
Why we can't find charity for our neighbors but can pray for a stranger.
Why we can't see our own faults but can so easily find them in others.
Why we can't see the good but so readily point out the bad.

I don't understand...
Why love doesn't return the gift of generosity.
Why we profess to value honesty then lie to protect ourselves.
Why success can't be won without deceit.
Why we abuse the world but cherish possessions.
Why profit means more than the method that achieves it.
Why what people say isn't what they mean.

I still don't understand...
Why we complain more about what we don't have
instead of seeing what we've already been given.
Why we want so much when it's usually the simple things that make us happy.
Why we try to be someone and something we aren't
instead of celebrating who we truly are.
Why we aren't more thankful for the people in our lives
instead of the things in our lives...

8 HABITS / FACTS ABOUT ME...

OK its been bit long now that I was been tagged by Noushy(Anouska) to write about 8 habits or facts about myself so here they are:

TAGGING RULES:

1. Each blogger must post these rules
2. Each blogger starts with eight random facts/habits about themselves
3. Bloggers that are tagged need to write on their own blog about their eight things and post these rules. At the end of your blog, you need to choose eight people to get tagged and list their names.
4. Don't forget to leave them a comment telling them they've been tagged and to read ur blog.

1. MY INTRO…. OK my real name is Samrina but I got so many nicks like my friends called me ‘Sam’, few of my family members they called me ‘Reena’, one of my teacher he used to called me ‘Samar’ as his daughter’s name is also Samar and he treat me also like her :) , my other professor he called me ‘Sameera’ as he likes this name,,, God!! I got so many names haan.... :)
Anyhow I am an MBA (Masters in Business Administration) and my major subject is HRM (Human Resource Management) and now these days I am participating in my family business plus was teaching previously in a school as I love to spend time with kids but unfortunately that I have to leave last month due to some personal reasons… anyhow I guess that’s enough for my brief introduction...? :)

2. MY INTERESTS…. Well my interests changes with time but that doesn’t mean at all that I am moody but its just that I have phases in my life where I am crazy or completely involved in anything and with time my interest level goes down but that still stays in my list of interests like when I was in 9th-10th grades I was crazy about cooking and I attended several cooking courses and still now time to time I do attend classes as per my interest as still I love to cook new new dishes.. anyhow there was phase when I was full time involved into gardening and I spend lots of time in that and still I love to water plants whenever I get time, I love to write though initially I started with writing poetries but now I am trying to write short articles as well which I do share here at my blog as well so you can have some idea that what type of writer I am..  :) I was into sketching, glass painting, and few other things as well that I can add to the list of my interests but whatever I shared I guess its enough for now..

3. AIM OF MY LIFE…. I just wanted to be ‘Honest’ whether it’s any relationship or any field of work because I beleive if I’ll be honest in my relationship with God then I’ll be a good Muslim, if I’ll be honest in my studies I’ll be a good student, if I’ll be honest in my relationship with people around then I’ll be a good daughter of my parents, sister of my brothers, good friend of my friends, and so on…. So its true that honesty is the best policy :)

4. ONE THING THAT I LIKE MOST ABOUT MYSELF…. Is that I am a faithful, positive person and this I consider as my most powerful strength that always help me in my life and keeps me hopeful. This is the only thing that never let me stay in state of depression or tension for long and always support me to struggle and effort in life…

5. ONE THING THAT I HATE ABOUT MYSELF…. Is that I am an extremely sensitive person and small small things matter for me a lot. Usually this is consider to be a positive quality of anyone but when look at so many problems around and I cant help it I truly feel bad and that keeps me in depression mostly but again my faith in God and positivism overcomes it.

6. WHAT I VALUE MOST IN LIFE??.... well in my view there are basically 3 things that holds importance in one’s life and they are: religion, relationships and his/her work or career. I value these three in a same sequence as I mentioned above i.e. first comes my religion, then my relationships and lastly but not least my work or career.

7. FRIENDS…. I am a person who is very much concern and sensitive about her relationships. Friends in my life are as important to me as my other relationships like my parents, siblings, n all… I hardly make friends as I believe in quality rather then in quantity so I want to have few but true friends around but if I have to call anyone my best friend with whom I can say that I share 100% or who knows and understand me 100% then that would be my God(Allah) because He is the one most close to me in my life and next would be my life partner… 

8. MY DREAM …. I wish to see world united, no wars, no fights, no caste differences, no color differences and all live as a respectable human being on this planet earth. I dream to see everyone living a peaceful, happy, healthy life will all the respect that any human being deserves to have. I wish this dream comes to reality one day…..

OK lastly as per the rules I have to tag 8 more people to do it at their blogs, tough job haan..  anyhow 8 bloggers that I would like to tag are as follows:

1. Tim
2. Jac
3. Janice
4. Andrew
5. Floots
6. Anitya
7. Cergie
8. Shades of Twilight

Rest if anyone else wanna take this tag and do it at his/her blog is most welcome to do it 

Best Regards,

Samrina

Beautiful Day!!

Every day can be a beautiful day.
Just take a look around you,
and think of all the wonderful things
you have to be thankful for...
the sunshine, roses, laughter,
close friends, family, music,
and beautiful dreams...
The storm is never half as bad as it seems.
Don't let rain ruin your day.
When the dark clouds move in just smile,
because the good times are on the way... :)

Have a beautiful day you all!!

Lovely words about Love...

* Don't find love, let love find you. That's why it's called falling in love, because you don't force yourself to fall, you just fall.

* Lucky is the man who is the first love of a woman, but luckier is the woman who is the last love of a man.

* It takes a minute to have a crush on someone, an hour to like someone, and an day to love someone... but it takes a lifetime to forget someone.

* It breaks your heart to see the one you love is happy with someone else, but it's more painful to know that the one you love is unhappy with you.

* Love, true love, is that which can give the most without asking or demanding anything in return.

* Love cures people -- both the ones who give it and the ones who receive it.

* One word frees us of all the weight and pain of life: That word is love.

* Love... What is love? Love is to love someone for who they are, who they were, and who they will be.

* Love is like a river, always changing, but always finding you again somewhere down the road.

* Love is a language spoken by everyone, but understood only by a heart.

* It doesn't take a reason to love someone, but it does to like someone. You don't love someone because you want to, you love someone because you are destined too. It's because you fall in Love with them, that you then try to find a reason, but you always come up with the answer, No reason!

May God brings true Love in our all life..

Love for all...

Just an advice...

Stop comparing yourself with other people...

There will always be some people who have more than you and some who have less. If you play the comparison game, you'll run into too many "opponents" you can't defeat...
Just keep one thing in mind that no one is perfect in this world except of God who created us all. God have gifted each of us something special in us that make us different from others like someone is good in writing, some are good in painting and so on...

So point is just to find out, polish and highlight our that God gifted quality and be confident and thankful to God for it. This is the only thing that can bring you internal satisfaction and keep you safe from this comparison tension..

..so keep yourself cool and have nice times ...

Everything in life....

Everything in life is temporary…
Darkness of the night or brightness of the day,
Smile or tears in your eyes,
Even sunrise is temporary… And so is sunset.
If things are going good enjoy it… It won't last forever
And if things are going bad
Don't worry coz it won't last forever either.
Everything just passes by even our life…
So think positive & enjoy as it is all due to you…

Decisions in our life...

There are basically two organs gifted by God that help us to take decisions in life, one is our ‘brain’ and another one is our ‘heart’. Decisions made by our brain are more calculated, practical and reliable as they are based on facts, logics, evidences and realities. Whereas on the other hand our heart goes with feelings like love, sympathy, care, etc.

This is a fact that our happiness is more linked with our heart and our success is mostly linked with our brain decisions but decisions made collectively with both brain and heart are the best decisions that bring us happiness & success both. I have seen several successful people around who go with their brain and always been calculative in taking decisions whether it’s related to their business/work life or related to their relationships but this is also true that most of them are not satisfied and happy. Brain is not an appropriate decision maker in all cases or matters of life sometimes we do need to listen to our heart as well especially while taking any decisions related to our relationships.

Some Great Thoughts...

* Maybe God wants us to meet a few wrong people before meeting the right one so that when we finally meet the right person, we will know how to be grateful for that gift.

* When the door of happiness closes, another opens, but often times we look so long at the closed door that we don't see the one which has been opened for us.

* The best kind of friend is the kind you can sit on a porch and swing with, never say a word, and then walk away feeling like it was the best conversation you've ever had.

* It's true that we don't know what we've got until we lose it, but it's also true that we don't know what we've been missing until it arrives.

* Giving someone all your love is never an assurance that they'll love you back! Don't expect love in return; just wait for it to grow in their heart but if it doesn't, be content it grew in yours. It takes only a minute to get a crush on someone, an hour to like someone, and a day to love someone, but it takes a lifetime to forget someone.

* Don't go for looks; they can deceive. Don't go for wealth; even that fades away. Go for someone who makes you smile because it takes only a smile to make a dark day seem bright. Find the one that makes your heart smile.

* May you have enough happiness to make you sweet, enough trials to make you strong, enough sorrow to keep you human, enough hope to make you happy.

Be Positive...

I have received this in a forward mail and found it worth sharing so here it is for all my readers here, hope you all gonna like it too.

If someone should hurt you
and say a thing unkind,
Remember what I write to you,
and keep these thoughts in mind.

For everyone that makes you cry,
there are three to make you smile,
And a smile will last for a long, long time,
but a tear just a little while.

Don't let someone who hates the world
cause you to hate it too,
Behind the clouds is a Golden sun,
and a sky that's full of Blue.

If someone said a thing that's cruel,
don't let it get to you,
Your achievements are greatly numbered,
and your faults are very few.

So if a certain person should act a certain way,
Think of those who love you.

AND DON'T LET IT SPOIL YOUR DAY!

Samrina

How God want to use problems…

I always use to think that if God love us that much then why He brings us problems in life? I thought deeply about it and realized that the problems we face will either defeat us or develop us - depending on how we respond to them. Unfortunately, most people fail to see how God wants to use problems for good in their lives. They react foolishly and resent their problems rather than pausing to consider what benefit they might bring. Here are few ways God wants to use the problems in our life:

1. To DIRECT US
Sometimes God must light a fire under you to get you moving.Problems often point us in a new direction and motivate us to change. Is God trying to get your attention? "Sometimes it takes a painful situation to make us change our ways."

2. To INSPECT US
People are like tea bags...if you want to know what's inside them, just drop them into hot ever water! Has God tested your faith with a problem What do problems reveal about you? "When you have many kinds of troubles, you should be full of joy, because you know that these troubles test your faith, and this will give you patience."

3. To CORRECT US
Some lessons we learn only through pain and failure. It's likely that as a child your parents told you not to touch a hot stove. But you probably learned by being burned. Sometimes we only learn the value of something... health, money, a relationship..by losing it. "It was the best thing that could have happened to me,for it taught me to pay attention to your laws."

4. To PROTECT US
A problem can be a blessing in disguise if it prevents you from being harmed by something more serious. Last year a friend was fired for refusing to do something unethical that his boss had asked him to do. His unemployment was a problem - but
it saved him from being convicted and sent to prison a year later when management's actions were eventually discovered. "You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good...

5. To PERFECT US
Problems, when responded to correctly, are character builders.

There could be many other reasons as well that can be added to the list like to test us, to teach us and make us an example or bench mark for others, and so on…
Anyhow I guess its all a matter that how we think or take problems in our life.

May God bless us all.

Samrina

Happiness!!

Every living creature wants to be happy. Whether it is money, power or any relationship, you get into it for the sake of happiness. Some people even enjoy misery because it gives them happiness !

To be happy, we seek something. But despite getting it, we are not happy. A school-going boy may think that if he goes to college, he will be more independent, free and therefore happy. If you ask a college-going boy whether he is happy, he feels that if he gets a job, he will be happy. Talk to somebody who is settled in their job or business, you already know what he will say! He is waiting to get a perfect soul mate, to be happy. He gets a soul mate, but he now wants a kid to be happy. Ask those who have children if they are happy. How can they relax until the children have grown up and have had a good education and are on their own. Ask those who are retired, are they happy? They long for the days when they were younger.

All of one's life is spent in preparing to be happy someday in the future. It's like making a bed all night, but having no time to sleep.

How many minutes, hours and days have we spent our life being happy from within - Those are the only moments you have really lived life. Those were perhaps the days when you were a small kid, completely blissful and happy or a few moments when you were surfing, swimming or sailing or on a mountain top, living in the present and enjoying it.

There are two ways of looking at life. One is thinking that, "I'll
be happy after achieving a certain objective." The second is saying that "I am happy come what may!"

Which one do you want to live?

PERSONAL PERCEPTION...

Different people have different perception. One man's meat could be another man's poison. A couple bought a donkey from the market. On the way home,a boy commented, "Very stupid. Why neither of them ride on the donkey?"Upon hearing that, the husband let the wife ride on the donkey. He walked besides them. Later, an old man saw it and commented, "The husband is the head of family. How can the wife ride on the donkey while the husband is on foot?" Hearing this, the wife quickly got down and let the husband ride on the donkey.

Further on the way home, they met an old Lady. She commented, "How can the man ride on the donkey but let the wife walk. He is no gentleman."
The husband thus quickly asked the wife to join him on the donkey. Then, they met a young man. He commented, "Poor donkey, how can you hold up the weight of two persons. They are cruel to you." Hearing that, the husband and wife immediately climbed down from the donkey and carried it on their shoulders.

It seems to be the only choice left. Later, on a narrow bridge, the donkey was frightened and struggled. They lost their balance and fell into the river. You can never have everyone praise you, nor will everyone condemn you. Never in the past, not at present, and never will be in the future.

Thus, do not be too bothered by others words if our conscience is clear..

Time In Our Lives

There will be times in all of our lives
where we're treated very harshly and unfair.
And no matter how hard we look for the justice
we find that it just isn't there.

When we're offended and in pain, our normal response
is to retaliate and somehow repay.
For we want that person to see how it feels
to have the heartache we're feeling that day.

But as natural as it seems to want to get even
it's the opposite of what God says is true.
For He is desiring that His servants be different
and be Christ-like in all that we do.

As incredible as it sounds, He wants us to repay them
with a blessing instead of more pain.
And He will give us the power we need to be kind
and the strength we need to refrain.

We have to trust Him and fully believe Him
Knowing His ways truly are best.
We have to be encouraged knowing He saw the injustice
and let Him give us comfort and rest.

The person who offends us is not declared innocent
by the kindness we place on their head.
But God takes all the heartache retaliation would bring us
and gives us a blessing instead.

The Power Of Our Blessings

We bless the life around us far more than we realize. Many simple, ordinary things that we do can affect those around us in profound ways: the unexpected phone call, the brief touch, the willingness to listen generously, the warm smile or wink of recognition. We can even bless total strangers and be blessed by them. Big messages come in small packages. All it may take to restore someone's trust in life may be returning a lost earring or a dropped glove.

A woman once told me that she did not feel the need to reach out to those around her because she prayed every day. Surely, this was enough. But a prayer is about our relationship to God; a blessing is about our relationship to the spark of God in one another. God may not need our attention as badly as the person next to us on the bus or behind us on line in the supermarket. Everyone in the world matters, and so do their blessings. When we bless others, we offer them refuge from an indifferent world.

The capacity to bless life is in everybody. The power of our blessing is not diminished by illness or age. On the contrary, our blessings become even more powerful as we grow older.

They have survived the buffeting of our experience. We may have traveled a long, hard road to the place where we can remember once again who we are. That we have traveled and remembered gives hope to those we bless. Perhaps in time they too can remember this place beyond competition and struggle, this place where we belong to one another... I first learned to do this from people who were dying, people who had moved into a more authentic relationship with those around them because only that which is genuine still had meaning for them. These people had let go of the ways in which they had changed themselves to win approval, and so they made it safe for others to remove their masks as well.

True knowledge brings humility...

Expression:

True knowledge inspires and encourages one to bring about a practical change in one's life. The one with knowledge naturally imbibes it, which is also revealed in his practical life. This is because he is humbly willing to learn from all situations. As much as there is knowledge, so much there is divinity and elevated ness revealed in all words and actions. Also such a person keeps learning from all life's situations.

Experience:

To have the ability to learn from all that life brings is to have love for knowledge. Since I have love for knowledge, I am able to experience self-respect. This self-respect gives me the humility to accept situations and people as they are and keep learning. So whatever the situation or whoever the person I come across, I only find myself enriching myself and moving forward.
