Sacrifice is always of the self
As one decides to serve the greater good,
Crossing in one's heart an inner gulf,
Replacing what one wants with what one would.
It is an act of faith sustained by love,
For faith or love alone is not enough.
In choosing, one creates what one would prove,
Chastened by the will that all things moves
Even as one wanders in the rough.

Love 'n' Faith do test, Strong Belief is the only key to Love 'n' Faith, And Sacrifice is the only Prove of Belief.

Nice poem...sacrifice is always of the self...very true indeed...but it also helps if someone else is able to sacrifice a bit of themselves for us...:) hope that made sense..see ya :)
