Quite meaningful and symbolic. Just like a man who looks to be smiling and happy when he's totally devastated from inside. Things sometimes are not as good as they may seem.

this makes me think of a friend i once had, she was always smiling but deep in her heart, she was so miserable!
our friendship eventually ended as the darkness came to light and she turned on me!
