Though I never got any interest in politics or in politicians as it always make me depressed and confused as I can never make it out that who is right or wrong but being a part of the nation and being a Pakistani whatever happen around in my country and people around always effects me and hurts me whenever I see any trouble or sufferings around...

Its been long now that whole Pakistani nation is facing this endless, long period of turmoil and uncertainty, and worst civil war. Dozens of innocent people are been killed without any reason, lots of losses in businesses, strikes.... just for the sake of nothing...

It's truly so painful to write all this but I believe one should have courage to face the cruel realities of life... I don't know exactly why I am writing all this may be just to share my depression or to prove myself as a Pakistani who is strong enough to digest these bitter, cruel realities scattered around or just to clarify world that all are not same, all Pakistanis are not bad or terrorists as been labeled, we also have heart, we do feel pain, but yeah I do accept that few of us are doing wrong and just because of them all Pakistanis all around the world are been seen with the eyes of doubts, been given disrespect and just because these few wicked people whole nation is suffering...

I hope you all are aware with the most recent & terrible incident happened here at the part of world I belong to and i.e. one more miserable bomb blast that not only killed former Pakistan prime minister Benazir Bhutto but also 20 other poor people along... on December 27, 2007 it was not the end of the story unfortunately its been three days now that whole Pakistani nation is suffering just because of the stupid, emotional people around who burnt hundreds of vehicles, shops, factories and killed about 15-20 more people all over the country.... I don't know what's the purpose behind? whats the use? why they are killing innocent people? why creating problems for poor people? why asking others who did nothing wrong to suffer? what they will get from doing all this?? why don't they think just because of their stupid actions whole nation have to suffer??

I just hope & pray for the betterment & peace around and need your all prayers too for my people & my country...
May God bless all..

Visit to Multan (Part 2)

Well in first part of the post I have already provide you with a brief introduction about the city I visited i.e. Multan and now in this last part I would like to share my colorful thoughts and eperiences regarding the main reason for which I basically visited there i.e. to attend a wedding of few of our family friends settled there. You must be thinking now that being living in Pakistan there shouldn’t be anything new & surprising for me at least to be that excited & to write about but honestly speaking that was all new for me too. Things and traditions that I just use to listen from my elders so far I have seen & experienced at my own for the very first time in my life. Bhangra (traditional dance), a group of musical band in uniform along with barat, groom riding on a horse, and lots more small traditional things….

Luckily I gotta chance to visit a village in my trip and truly loved the beauty of nature there, I can’t forget the innocence & simplicity, hospitality & love of people there is memorable. Without any relationship and without any mean reason everyone want us to visit their place may be just for a minute. Small gifts that they gifted were so precious like anything. Peace & purity there was unforgettable…

Well it was just an attempt to portrait and write in words whatever i have seen and experienced there. This is first time actually that I tried to write anything like that and I don't know to what extend I am successful i it but anyhow I hope you guys have enjoyed pictures at least that I have posted here :)

Visit to Multan...

As per I said in my earlier post that I was out of city for vaccations and gonna write about my visit in detail so here I am publishing the first part of the post as there are many things that I really wanna share here. I have been asked by my several readers to write about my country, traditions and culture so here I am publishing for the very first time at my blog something related to my country and that is a brief introduction about a beautiful, small, full of traditional colors city called to be Multan that I luckily gotta chance to visit recently.

Well Multan is known as the 'City of Sufi Saints and Shrines'. The city is full of bazars (markets), mosques, shrines and superbly designed tombs. The numerous Sufi shrines within the old city offer impressive examples of workmanship and architecture. The Shams-e Tabriz shrine is built almost entirely of sky-blue engraved glazed bricks. That of Shah Rukn-e Alam (Tughlaq period) has one of the biggest domes in Asia. The shrine of Sheikh Yusuf Gardez is a masterpiece of the Multani style. Other shrines include the Pahladpuri Temple and the Idgah Mosque (1735).

City can be divided into parts one old Multan with old, traditional buildings and markets where people still follow old cultural values and live with the purely old tradional style in a very simple way. Whereas there is a modern brand new Multan city that holds all the modern looks and facilities.

Basically I belong to Karachi one of the biggest cities of Pakistan where life is as like as in the other big cities of of the world. I have been visited several other cities of Pakistan too but if I compare Karachi with them especially small cities like Multan then I must say that life here in Karachi is much faster and different. Simplicity is the most highlighted difference that I found there in both people and their life styles and that truly admired and attracted me as it is truly rare in other big, advanced cities.

Thanks to all...

Hi to all,

Well first of all I wanna express my gratitude and deep thanks to all my blog friends for all their concern and love, I am truly honored and glad to read all the words left in my absence here.

I am sorry I couldn’t inform earlier that I am leaving for vacations. It was such a nice experience of my life to visit for the very first time interior Punjab and attend such a colorful, purely traditional wedding ceremony there. I’ll write in detail about all this along with the pictures that I took at places there in my next post in a day or two. Hope you all gonna like and enjoy it too.

Once again thanks a lot to all my blog friends. Hope you all are doing well.

Value of parents...

I have read this thought provoking and a short story with a valuable lesson in it few days and found it really worth sharing so here it is for all my readers. Hope you all gonna agreed with it too.

An 80 year old man was sitting on the sofa in his house along
with his 45 years old highly educated son. Suddenly a crow
perched on their window.
The Father asked his Son, "What is this?"
The Son replied "It is a crow".
After a few minutes, the Father asked his Son the 2nd time,
"What is this?"
The Son said "Father, I have just now told you "It's a crow".
After a little while, the old Father again asked his Son the 3rd time, What is this?"
At this time some ex-pression of irritation was felt in the Son's
tone when he said to his Father with a rebuff. "It's a crow, a
crow".
A little after, the Father again asked his Son t he 4th time,
"What is this?"
This time the Son shouted at his Father, "Why do you keep
asking me the same question again and again, although I have
told you so many times 'IT IS A CROW'. Are you not able to
understand this?"
A little later the Father went to his room and came back with an
old tattered diary, which he had maintained since his Son was
born. On opening a page, he asked his Son to read that page.
When the son read it, the following words were written in the
diary :-
"Today my little son aged three was sitting with me on the sofa,
when a crow was sitting on the window. My Son asked me 23
times what it was, and I replied to him all 23 times that it was a
Crow. I hugged him lovingly each time h e asked me the same
question again and again for 23 times. I did not at all feel
irritated I rather felt affection for my innocent child".
While the little child asked him 23 times "What is this", the
Father had felt no irritation in replying to the same question all
23 times and when today the Father asked his Son the same
question just 4 times, the Son felt irritated and annoyed.

So..

If your parents attain old age, do not repulse them or look at
them as a burden, but speak to them a gracious word, be cool,
obedient, humble and kind to them. Be considerate to your
parents. From today say this aloud, "I want to see my parents
happy forever. They have cared for me ever since I was a little
child. They have always showered their selfless love on me.

They crossed all mountains and valleys without seeing the storm
and heat to make me a person presentable in the society today".
Say a prayer to God, "I will serve my old parents in the BEST
way. I will say all good and kind words to my dear parents, no
matter how they behave.

Parents are precious gift of God just ask the value of parents who have lost them....

Best Regards,

What Is Hope??

Hope is knowing that a positive outcome awaits.

Hope is not only expecting a dream to come true,
but also having a deep assurance
that it's within your reach.

Hope is saying you can.

Hope is knowing that you can improve
and that you always get better with practice.

Hope is knowing that you can achieve your goals
through hard work and persistence.

Hope is looking to the future with joy
and having an expectation of
better things to come.

Hope is the knowledge that life is everlasting,
and that miracles happen every day.

Hope is something that never abandons you.
Even when your life is filled with
sadness and disappointment,
a spark remains inside to help you
get through the rough times.

Hope is one of God's greatest gifts to you,
because it's the magic that inspires you
to keep trying, learning, loving, and living.

I have found that if you love life, life will love you back!

Samrina

Secret of LIfe...

The secret of life is to make the best
of whatever comes along,
Make every day fresh and new,
Go in search of knowledge and experience.

Let your questions and
your answers reconcile.
Do your best to remember
that the best kind of learning curve
is an educated smile.

Share your magic with the people
who share your memories.
Let your feelings run deep.
Be in touch with the people
who live in your heart.
Be a caring person who plays for keeps.

To really know what success means, earn it.
Don't rely on some elevator to get you there.
The higher the floor you want to reach,
the more important it is to take the stair.

The easiest lessons to remember
are the ones you learn the hard way!

Appreciate the little things
that make each day
unique and special.

Have A Beautiful Life!!!

I DON'T UNDERSTAND..

Why we can't have morality without dictating religion.
Why we can't have differences without hatred.
Why we can't have disagreements without belittlements.
Why we can't love a higher spirit, but each in our own way.
Why we can't feed the homeless but can rebuild the world.
Why we can't find charity for our neighbors but can pray for a stranger.
Why we can't see our own faults but can so easily find them in others.
Why we can't see the good but so readily point out the bad.

I don't understand...
Why love doesn't return the gift of generosity.
Why we profess to value honesty then lie to protect ourselves.
Why success can't be won without deceit.
Why we abuse the world but cherish possessions.
Why profit means more than the method that achieves it.
Why what people say isn't what they mean.

I still don't understand...
Why we complain more about what we don't have
instead of seeing what we've already been given.
Why we want so much when it's usually the simple things that make us happy.
Why we try to be someone and something we aren't
instead of celebrating who we truly are.
Why we aren't more thankful for the people in our lives
instead of the things in our lives...

8 HABITS / FACTS ABOUT ME...

OK its been bit long now that I was been tagged by Noushy(Anouska) to write about 8 habits or facts about myself so here they are:

TAGGING RULES:

1. Each blogger must post these rules
2. Each blogger starts with eight random facts/habits about themselves
3. Bloggers that are tagged need to write on their own blog about their eight things and post these rules. At the end of your blog, you need to choose eight people to get tagged and list their names.
4. Don't forget to leave them a comment telling them they've been tagged and to read ur blog.

1. MY INTRO…. OK my real name is Samrina but I got so many nicks like my friends called me ‘Sam’, few of my family members they called me ‘Reena’, one of my teacher he used to called me ‘Samar’ as his daughter’s name is also Samar and he treat me also like her :) , my other professor he called me ‘Sameera’ as he likes this name,,, God!! I got so many names haan.... :)
Anyhow I am an MBA (Masters in Business Administration) and my major subject is HRM (Human Resource Management) and now these days I am participating in my family business plus was teaching previously in a school as I love to spend time with kids but unfortunately that I have to leave last month due to some personal reasons… anyhow I guess that’s enough for my brief introduction...? :)

2. MY INTERESTS…. Well my interests changes with time but that doesn’t mean at all that I am moody but its just that I have phases in my life where I am crazy or completely involved in anything and with time my interest level goes down but that still stays in my list of interests like when I was in 9th-10th grades I was crazy about cooking and I attended several cooking courses and still now time to time I do attend classes as per my interest as still I love to cook new new dishes.. anyhow there was phase when I was full time involved into gardening and I spend lots of time in that and still I love to water plants whenever I get time, I love to write though initially I started with writing poetries but now I am trying to write short articles as well which I do share here at my blog as well so you can have some idea that what type of writer I am..  :) I was into sketching, glass painting, and few other things as well that I can add to the list of my interests but whatever I shared I guess its enough for now..

3. AIM OF MY LIFE…. I just wanted to be ‘Honest’ whether it’s any relationship or any field of work because I beleive if I’ll be honest in my relationship with God then I’ll be a good Muslim, if I’ll be honest in my studies I’ll be a good student, if I’ll be honest in my relationship with people around then I’ll be a good daughter of my parents, sister of my brothers, good friend of my friends, and so on…. So its true that honesty is the best policy :)

4. ONE THING THAT I LIKE MOST ABOUT MYSELF…. Is that I am a faithful, positive person and this I consider as my most powerful strength that always help me in my life and keeps me hopeful. This is the only thing that never let me stay in state of depression or tension for long and always support me to struggle and effort in life…

5. ONE THING THAT I HATE ABOUT MYSELF…. Is that I am an extremely sensitive person and small small things matter for me a lot. Usually this is consider to be a positive quality of anyone but when look at so many problems around and I cant help it I truly feel bad and that keeps me in depression mostly but again my faith in God and positivism overcomes it.

6. WHAT I VALUE MOST IN LIFE??.... well in my view there are basically 3 things that holds importance in one’s life and they are: religion, relationships and his/her work or career. I value these three in a same sequence as I mentioned above i.e. first comes my religion, then my relationships and lastly but not least my work or career.

7. FRIENDS…. I am a person who is very much concern and sensitive about her relationships. Friends in my life are as important to me as my other relationships like my parents, siblings, n all… I hardly make friends as I believe in quality rather then in quantity so I want to have few but true friends around but if I have to call anyone my best friend with whom I can say that I share 100% or who knows and understand me 100% then that would be my God(Allah) because He is the one most close to me in my life and next would be my life partner… 

8. MY DREAM …. I wish to see world united, no wars, no fights, no caste differences, no color differences and all live as a respectable human being on this planet earth. I dream to see everyone living a peaceful, happy, healthy life will all the respect that any human being deserves to have. I wish this dream comes to reality one day…..

OK lastly as per the rules I have to tag 8 more people to do it at their blogs, tough job haan..  anyhow 8 bloggers that I would like to tag are as follows:

1. Tim
2. Jac
3. Janice
4. Andrew
5. Floots
6. Anitya
7. Cergie
8. Shades of Twilight

Rest if anyone else wanna take this tag and do it at his/her blog is most welcome to do it 

Best Regards,

Samrina

Beautiful Day!!

Every day can be a beautiful day.
Just take a look around you,
and think of all the wonderful things
you have to be thankful for...
the sunshine, roses, laughter,
close friends, family, music,
and beautiful dreams...
The storm is never half as bad as it seems.
Don't let rain ruin your day.
When the dark clouds move in just smile,
because the good times are on the way... :)

Have a beautiful day you all!!

Lovely words about Love...

* Don't find love, let love find you. That's why it's called falling in love, because you don't force yourself to fall, you just fall.

* Lucky is the man who is the first love of a woman, but luckier is the woman who is the last love of a man.

* It takes a minute to have a crush on someone, an hour to like someone, and an day to love someone... but it takes a lifetime to forget someone.

* It breaks your heart to see the one you love is happy with someone else, but it's more painful to know that the one you love is unhappy with you.

* Love, true love, is that which can give the most without asking or demanding anything in return.

* Love cures people -- both the ones who give it and the ones who receive it.

* One word frees us of all the weight and pain of life: That word is love.

* Love... What is love? Love is to love someone for who they are, who they were, and who they will be.

* Love is like a river, always changing, but always finding you again somewhere down the road.

* Love is a language spoken by everyone, but understood only by a heart.

* It doesn't take a reason to love someone, but it does to like someone. You don't love someone because you want to, you love someone because you are destined too. It's because you fall in Love with them, that you then try to find a reason, but you always come up with the answer, No reason!

May God brings true Love in our all life..

Love for all...

Samrina

Just an advice...

Stop comparing yourself with other people...

There will always be some people who have more than you and some who have less. If you play the comparison game, you'll run into too many "opponents" you can't defeat...
Just keep one thing in mind that no one is perfect in this world except of God who created us all. God have gifted each of us something special in us that make us different from others like someone is good in writing, some are good in painting and so on...

So point is just to find out, polish and highlight our that God gifted quality and be confident and thankful to God for it. This is the only thing that can bring you internal satisfaction and keep you safe from this comparison tension..

..so keep yourself cool and have nice times ...

Best Regards,

Samrina

Everything in life....

Everything in life is temporary…
Darkness of the night or brightness of the day,
Smile or tears in your eyes,
Even sunrise is temporary… And so is sunset.
If things are going good enjoy it… It won't last forever
And if things are going bad
Don't worry coz it won't last forever either.
Everything just passes by even our life…
So think positive & enjoy as it is all due to you…

Best Regards,

Samrina
