See it through!!!
When You are up against a trouble,
Meet it squarely, face to face;
Lift Your chin and set your shoulders,
Plant your feet and take a brace.
When it's vain to try to dodge it,
Do the best that you can do,
You may fail, but you may conquer,
See it through!
Black may be the clouds about you
And your future may seem grim,
But dnt let your nerve desert you;
Keep yourself in fighting trim.
If the worst is bound to happen,
Spite of all that you can do,
Running from it will not save you,
See it through!
Even hope may seem but futile,
When with troubles you are beset,
But remember you are facing,
Just what other men have met.
You may fail, but fall still fighting;
Dnt give up, What have you do;
Eyes front, head high to thje finish.
See it through!

Five Ways to Stay Positive in a Negative World

In view of the increasing negative events happening around the world here are five things you can do to help you stay positive.

1. Take a news sabbatical. Listening to the news can be downright depressing. All bad news all of the time can drag you down and keep you there. Give yourself permission to stop listening to the news, especially before bed time.

2. Use your influence to do good where you live. Shift your focus from what is happening in other parts of the world to your community. Get involved in making a positive change or contribution.

3. Focus on what is working in your life. Choose one thing that you are grateful for and focus on it for the rest of the day.

4. Express your appreciation to others. You can create a positive world one person at a time by saying thank you every chance you get to everyone you interact with ? from the person who holds open a door for you to your child who does a chore to a cherished friend or loved one.

5. Focus on what you can change, let go of what you can't change. When faced with a distressing situation ask yourself if you can control over the events. If you do, change what you can. If you don't, learn to let it go and move on.

Self-realization

Man is here on earth for this one purpose, that he may bring forth that spirit of God in him and thus discover his own perfection. The three stages towards this perfection are the following.

The first stage is to make God as great and as perfect as your imagination can. .... The second stage is the work of the heart... The first lesson that love teaches us is: 'I am not. Thou art.' The first thing to think of is to erase ourselves from our minds and to think of the one we love. As long as we do not arrive at this idea, so long the word love remains only in the dictionary. Many speak about love but very few know it. Is love a pastime, an amusement, a drama; is it a performance? The first lesson of love is sacrifice, service, and self-effacement. ... To close the eyes for prayer is one thing, and to produce the love of God is another thing. That is the second stage in spiritual realization, where, in the thought of God, one begins to lose oneself in the same way that the lover loses the thought of self in the thought of the beloved. And the third stage is different again. In the third stage the Beloved becomes the Self, and the self is there no more. For then the self, as we think it to be, no longer remains. The self becomes what it really is. It is that realization which is called Self-realization.

Integrity

Some time ago, an article in National Racquetball Magazine told the story of Reuben Gonzales, who was in the final match of a professional racquetball tournament. It was Gonzales' first shot at a victory on the pro circuit, and he was playing the perennial champion. In the fourth and final game, at match point, Gonzales made a super "kill" shot into the front wall to win it all.

The referee called it good. One of the two linesmen affirmed that the shot was in. But Gonzales, after a moment's hesitation, turned around, shook his opponent's hand, and declared that his shot had "slapped" into the wall, hitting the court floor first. As a result, he lost the match. He walked off the court. Everybody was stunned.

The next issue of National Racquetball Magazine displayed Reuben Gonzales on its front cover. The story searched for an explanation of this first-ever occurrence on the professional racquetball circuit. Who could ever imagine it in any sport endeavor? A player, with everything officially in his favor, with victory in his hand, disqualified himself at match point and lost! When asked why he did it, Reuben replied, "It was the only thing I could do to maintain my int
egrity."

CAN ANYONE ANSWER????
Captain Frank and some of the boys were
exchanging old war stories. Art Bragg offered one
about how his grandfather led a battalion against a
German division during World War I. Through
brilliant maneuvers, he defeated them and captured
valuable territory. After the battle he was
presented with a sword bearing the inscription "To
Captain Bragg for Bravery, Daring and Leadership.
World War I. From the Men of Battalion "Captain
Frank looked at Art and said, "You really don't
expect anyone to believe that yarn, do you?" What's
wrong with the story?

The Joyful Things

At times I'm so discouraged

with the problems of the day,

I fail to see the joyful things

that are along the way.

When troubles overwhelm me

it's then my nerves may fray.

That's when I need to take the time

To simply sit and pray.

Reflecting on God's many gifts,

it makes me so aware

of all the joy in little things

around me everywhere!

I must try to remember

though problems come my way,

not to miss the joyful things

and the beauty of the day.

" Simple but very useful piece of wisdom "
A lecturer, when explaining stress management to an audience, raised a glass of water and asked, "How heavy is this glass of water?"
Answers called out ranged from 20g to 500g.

The lecturer replied, "The absolute weight doesn't matter. It depends on how long you try to hold it. If I hold it for a minute, that's not a problem. If I hold it for an hour, I'll have an ache in my right arm. If I hold it for a day, you'll have to call an ambulance.

In each case, it's the same weight, but the longer I hold it, the heavier it becomes." He continued, "and that's the way it is with stress management.
If we carry our burdens all the time, sooner or later, as the burden becomes increasingly heavy, we won't be able to carry on." "As with the glass of water, you have to put it down for a while and rest before holding it again. When we're refreshed, we can carry on with the burden."
In simple words, if you have a problem or anything that is eating into your peace, keep it aside for as much of time as you can afford to, and come back to it. You will be amazed at how quickly the issue becomes a non issue, in your second consideration. "So, before you return home tonight, put the burden of the day down. Don't carry it home. You can pick it up tomorrow. Whatever burdens you're carrying now, let them down for a moment if you can."

So, my friend, why not take a while to just simply RELAX.
Put down anything that may be a burden to you right now. Don't pick it up again until after you've rested a while. Life is short. Enjoy it!

~ANYWAY~
People are unreasonable, illogical and self centered.
Love them anyway

If you do good, people will accuse you of selfish ulterior motives.
Do good anyway

If you are successful, you win false friends and true enemies.
Succeed anyway
The good you do today will be forgotten tomorrow.
Do good anyway

Honesty and frankness make you vulnerable.
Be honest and frank anyway

What you spend years building may be destroyed overnight.
Build anyway

People really need help but may attack you if you help them.
Help people anyway

Give the world the best you've got and it may never be enough..
Give the world the best you've got ANYWAY!

LIFES BEATINGS

I lay awake at night searching for peace of mind, soul and heart. Trying to gather emotions to understand what went wrong. Trying to figure out how I came to this point in life. Trying to grasp at memories in the air of things I know that I will not ever have again. Trying to live life like an open book but yet always wanting to turn to the last page when the page I'm on ..I don't like.
Wondering where to go from here. Whether to start over in a place in which I am unfamiliar with or to stay where I am at. I fight with the things I have done wrong. I search for penance for the mistakes I have made... hoping someday I will come to understand that it was all a lesson in life and one I had to learn the hard way.
But as I now reach the final stage I question if the things I did were what I was meant to do. As I now pass from one realm to the next, I hope my passing will be quick and painless unlike my life ..slow and painful.
I stand at a fork in the road and to pray to choose the right path in which I shall carry this scared corpse of mine . Hoping to find peace and fearing for the pain of making my final decision. Searching for heaven and the pearly gates and running from the fires of hell. I only ask one thing in my passing.. please forgive me cruel world for I know not what I do!

Life Still Has A Meaning

If there is a future there is time for mending-
Time to see your troubles coming to an ending.

Life is never hopeless however great your sorrow-
If you're looking forward to a new tomorrow.

If there is time for wishing then there is time for hoping-
When through doubt and darkness you are blindly groping.

Though the heart be heavy and hurt you may be feeling-
If there is time for praying there is time for healing.
So if through your window there is a new day breaking-
Thank God for the promise, though mind and soul be aching,

If with harvest over there is grain enough for gleaning-
There is a new tomorrow and life still has meaning.

Karachi’s W-11 Minibus Decoration for Australian Tram
via www.melbourne2006.com.au

A team of W-11 vehicle decorators from Karachi will undertake a residency in Melbourne to transform a tram that will run a free service on the Melbourne City Circle tram route during Games time. A fleet of particularly vibrant mini-buses ply the Karachi route called W-11, characterised by stainless-steel panels, brightly coloured plastic collages, flashing light patterns, music beats and exuberant conductors. Karachi had a horse-drawn tram system till the 1930s, then a petrol-fuelled system until the 1970s. Could there be a W-11 tram, a vehicle travelling from Karachi to Melbourne? How would these Karachi vehicle decorators invoke the spirit of this transport? Vehicles of transport have long been celebrated in the Indus valley, adorned with elaborate decoration to keep good spirits with the journey.

Why Women Cry ???

A little boy asked his mother, "Why are you crying?" "Because I'm a woman," she told him. "I don't understand," he said. His Mom just hugged him and said, "And you never will."
Later the little boy asked his father, "Why does mother seem to cry for no reason?" "All women cry for no reason," was all his dad could say.
The little boy grew up and became a man, still wondering why women cry. Finally he put in a call to God. When God got on the phone, he asked, "God, why do women cry so easily?" God said: "When I made the woman she had to be special. I made her shoulders strong enough to carry the weight of the world, yet gentle enough to give comfort. I gave her an inner strength to endure childbirth and the rejection that many times comes from her children. I gave her a hardness that allows her to keep going when everyone else gives up, and take care of her family through sickness and fatigue without complaining. I gave her the sensitivity to love her children under any and all circumstances, even when her child has hurt her very badly. I gave her strength to carry her husband through his faults and fashioned her from his rib to protect his heart. I gave her wisdom to know that a good husband never hurts his wife, but sometimes tests her strengths and her resolve to stand beside him unfalteringly. And finally, I gave her a tear to shed. This is hers exclusively to use whenever it is needed."
"You see my son," said God, "the beauty of a woman is not in the clothes she wears, the figure that she carries, or the way she combs her hair. The beauty of a woman must be seen in her eyes, because that is the doorway to her heart - the place where love resides."

LIFE IS BEAUTIFUL
Today I will delete from my diary
two days: yesterday and tomorrow
Yesterday was to learn
and tomorrow will be the consequence
of what I can do today.
Today I will face life
with the conviction that this day
will not ever return.
Today is the last opportunity
I have to live intensely,
as no one can assure me that
I will see tomorrow's sunrise.
Today I will be brave enough
not to let any opportunity pass me by,
my only alternative is to succeed.
Today I will invest
my most valuable resource:my time,
in the most trascendental work:my life;
I will spend each minute
passionately to make
of today a different
and unique day in my life.
Today I will defy every obstacule
that appears on my way trusting
I will succeed.
Today I will resist
pesimism and will conquer
the world with a smile,
with the positive attitude
of expecting always the best.
Today I will make of every ordinary task
a sublime _expression,
Today I will have my feet on the ground
understanding reality
and the stars' gaze
to invent my future.
Today I will take the time to be happy
and will leave my footprints and my
presence in the hearts of others.
Today, I invite you to begin a new season
where we can dream
that everything we undertake is possible
and we fulfil it,
with joy and dignity.

~ TRUST ~

I was reading today a short, cute story related to trust, that really inspired me. Hope you guys too like it.

A little girl and her father were crossing a filmsy bridge. The father was kind of scared so he asked his little daughter, "Sweetheart, please hold my hand so that you dont fall into the river."

The little girl said, "No, Dad, You hold my hand."
"What's the difference?", asked the puzzeled father.

"There is a big difference," replied the little girl. "If I hold your hand and something happens to me, chances are that I may let your hand go. But if you hold my hand, I know for sure that no matter what happens; you will never let my hand go."

In any relationship, the essence of trust is not in its bind, age, caste, or creed but in its bond. So friends hold the hands of the person whom you love rather than expecting them to hold urs........
