A friend is someone we turn to
When our spirits need a lift
A friend is someone we treasure
For our friendship is a gift
A friend is someone who fills our lives
With beauty, joy, and grace
And makes the world we live in
A better and happier place

This is going to make you so MAD! There are three words in the English language that end in "gry". ONE is angry and the other is hungry. EveryONE knows what the third ONE means and what it stands for. EveryONE uses them everyday, and if you listened very carefully, I've given you the third word. What is it? _______gry?

Although things are not perfect
Because of trial or pain
Continue in thanksgiving
Do not begin to blame
Even when the times are hard
Fierce winds are bound to blow
God is forever able
Hold on to what you know
Imagine life without His love
Joy would cease to be
Keep thanking Him for all the things
Love imparts to thee
Move out of "Camp Complaining"
No weapon that is known
On earth can yield the power
Praise can do alone
Quit looking at the future
Redeem the time at hand
Start every day with worship
T"thank" is a command
Until we see Him coming
Victorious in the sky
We'll run the race with gratitude
Xalting God most high
Yes, there'll be good times and yes some will be bad, but...
Zion waits in glory...where none are ever sad!

A beautifully written book that comes from the depth of Joan's soul. I lost my father at an early age and related to her overwhelming grief at the loss of her husband. I recommend this book to everyone, and in particular, to anyone who has lost a loved one. Really a heart touching.......

  • There are atleast two people in this world that u would die for in a heartbeat....
  • Atleast fifteen people in this world love u in someway including someone u may not even know exist!
  • Your smile can bring happiness to anyone even it's someone u think does'nt like u.
  • No one would ever hate u for any reason other than the fact that they wish they could be more like u
  • Someone, somewhere thinks about u every night before going to sleep.
  • No one is flawless, but we all have a character.
  • Even when u make a mistake, inevitably something good will come from it.
  • U are one of a kind. U are special & unique.
  • No matter how bad things may seem, with a little hope & determination, they'll always get better.
  • The world around u is filled with many wonderful & interesting people - enjoy their company when u can.

Have you ever found a friend who makes your heart glow?
Someone who is wonderful, who you're honored to know,
Someone to laugh with, and sometimes to cry,
Someone who loves you when you don't know why.
Someone who just seems to understand you,
Someone who you love no matter what they do,
Someone who you think of day and night,
Someone who shows up when the time is just right.
Someone who shares all your ups and downs,
Someone you smile with, replacing your frowns,
Someone who appears whenever there is a need,
Surely you must know, God planted that seed.
These seeds God has planted here on earth
Cannot be measured by earthly worth.
They were planted deeply in your friend's heart,
By God's love placed here from the start.
Value those friendships, honor their decisions,
Never try to make their dreams your revisions,
Respect their feelings, never make demands,
Hold their love tightly in your hands.
Never be angry if you don't talk to them each day,
For a heart can be loving even from far away.
Trust in friendship, send a piece of your heart,
This is how friendship was intended from the start.
Hold their memory in your heart and mind,
Continue to love them all the time,
See them for what they really are -
True friends are Angels sent by God from afar!

I'm Here for You

I cannot ease your aching heart,
Nor take your pain away;
But let me stay and take your hand
And walk with you today.
I'll listen when you need to talk,
I'll wipe away your tears;
I'll share your worries when they come,
I'll help you face your fears.
I'm here and I will stand by you,
On each hill you have to climb;
So take my hand, let's face the world...
And live just one day at a time.
You're not alone, for I'm still here,
I'll go that extra mile;
And when your grief is easier,
I'll help you learn to smile!
The True Meaning of Happiness
By Debi H.

Once upon a time in a country far away lived a loving mother and father with their two children, (Betty & Freddie).

The father was very wealthy and owned several acres of land with five dozen cattle. The family lived in a large farmhouse with a fireplace in each room and running water from a pump set in the kitchen.

The parents loved their children very much, giving them anything that their hearts desired, if Betty wanted a dollhouse made from the finest teakwood in Japan, her father would have it imported. If Freddie wanted an Arabian horse, he too would have it. Betty and Freddie were growing quite spoiled and began to behave mean & nasty. One day a little girl from the orphanage wanted to play with Betty and Freddie. Freddie laughed at her for the way she dressed and Betty laughed at the way her hair was pulled back with straw rope. Neither one wanted to play with a girl who looked so terrible. The little girl walked away with tears swelled in her eyes. She wasn't upset that Betty or Freddie didn't want to play with her, she was sad because Betty and Freddie thought that money made you happy and better than anyone else who didn't have any.The very next day, the little girl again asked them if they wanted to play at her home, the orphanage, Betty and Freddie laughed at the thought. The little girl told them of great places to play hide -n- seek, which aroused their curiosity, Betty and Freddie agreed to come over and play.Later on that afternoon, Betty and Freddie walked over to the orphanage to play with the little girl. As they walked into the building, they saw many children running about in moth eaten clothes. All of the children were laughing and having fun. Betty and her brother were very surprised to see laughter because they thought that money made you happy. The children were not wealthy and yet they were laughing and playing. Betty asked the little girl why they were happy and the little girl replied "money doesn't buy you happiness" you see happiness comes from within and having the best toys and clothes really doesn't make you happy, just greedy, until you have so much that you turn mean. Betty and Freddie looked at each other and realized that they weren't really happy no matter how many toys they owned. They both knew that they turned mean and nasty. Betty started to cry and wanted to go home. Freddie had walked Betty home and thought of a way to make them truly happy. He explained his plan to Betty and the very next day, Betty and Freddie returned back to the orphanage carrying a large cloth bag, inside the bag they had put all of their toys, they gave all of the children a toy of their own. The children were so very happy and that made Betty and Freddie very happy. From that day on Betty and Freddie were no longer selfish and mean. They both learned what true happiness meant and were very thankful to the little girl who showed them.

Though it's impossible to legislate high self-esteem, our own self-esteem has huge implications for our life paths. Our history of self-esteem begins as children, and follows us throughout our lives; it affects all our decisions - and, like a garden, needs constant tending.
One example of self-esteem can be seen in setting out upon our careers. For a person to make a non-traditional career choice, for example, a woman becoming a commercial pilot, or to go against family desires, requires someone to have a belief in their ability to make appropriate decisions, even though significant others in their life disagree with them.
Almost everyone can identify when they're on top of the world, enjoying the benefits of high self-esteem. However, experts have theorised that high self-esteem can also act as a cushion for those times when life lets us down. Rejections, disappointments and failure are a part of daily life.
Life isn't always fair; and even our best efforts aren't always successful. But high esteem can assist a person in 'weathering the storm' and help us get through life's downturns.
Before you think of saying an unkind word
Think of someone who can't speak
Before you complain about the taste of your food
Think of someone who has nothing to eat
Before you complain about your husband or wife
Think of someone who's crying out to God for a companion
Today before you complain about life
Think of someone who went too early to heaven
Before you complain about your children
Think of someone who desires children but they're barren
Before you argue about your dirty house; someone didn't clean or sweep
Think of the people who are living in the streets
Before whining about the distance you drive
Think of someone who walks the same distance with their feet
Before you think of pointing the finger or condemning another
Remember that not one of us are without sin and we all answer to one maker
And when depressing thoughts seem to get you down
Put a smile on your face and thank God you're alive and still around.

God exists???

This is one of the best explanations of why God allows pain and suffering that I have seen. It's an explanation other people will understand.

A man went to a barbershop to have his hair cut and his beard trimmed. Barber began to work, they began to have a good conversation. They talked about so many things and various subjects. When they eventually touched on the subject of God, the barber said: "I don't believe that God exists." Why do you say that?" asked the customer "Well, you just have to go out in the street to realize that God doesn't exist. Tell me, if God exists, would there be so many sick people? Would there be abandoned children? If God existed, there would be neither suffering nor pain. I can't imagine a loving God who would allow all of these things." The customer thought for a moment, but didn't respond because he didn't want to start an argument. The barber finished his job and the customer left the shop. Just after he left the barbers shop, he saw a man in the street with long, stringy, dirty hair & an un trimmed beard. He looked dirty and unkempt. The customer turned back and entered the barbershop again and he said to the barber: "You know what? Barbers do not exist." "How can you say that?" asked the surprised barber."I am here, and I am a barber. And I just worked on you!" "No!" the customer exclaimed. "Barbers don't exist because if they did, there would be no people with dirty long hair and untrimmed beards like that man outside." "Ah, but barbers DO exist! What happens is, people do not come to me." "Exactly!" affirmed the customer. "That's the point! God, too, DOES exist! What happens, is, people don't go to Him and do not look for Him. That's why there's so much pain and suffering in the world."

Even though I clutch my blanket and growl when the alarm rings, thank you, Lord, that I can hear. There are many who are deaf.
Even though I keep my eyes closed against the morning light as long as possible, thank you, Lord, that I can see. Many are blind.
Even though I huddle in my bed and put off rising, thank you Lord, that I have the strength to rise. There are many who are bedridden.
Even though the first hour of my day is hectic, when socks are lost, toast is burned and tempers are short, my children are so loud thank you, Lord, for my family. There are many who are lonely.
Even though our breakfast table never looks like the pictures in magazines and the menu is at times unbalanced, thank you, Lord, for the food we have. There are many who are hungry.
Even though the routine of my job is often monotonous, thank you, Lord, for the opportunity to work. There are many who have no job.
Even though I grumble and bemoan my fate from day to day and wish my circumstances were not so modest, thank you, Lord, for life.
If we can pass this on to most people we know, it might help a bit to make this world a better place to live in.

Happiness keeps You Sweet,

Trials keep You Strong,

Sorrows keep You Human,

Failures keep You Humble,

Success keeps You Glowing,

But Only God keeps You Going!

Whatever Happens to You

My Dear Friends, flee from all evil and from everything resembling it. Do not get angry, for anger leads to murder. Do not grumble, for this leads to blasphemy; be gentle-minded, for those of a gentle mind shall possess the earth. Be patient and have a loving heart.
Do not be one who stretches out his hands to receive but closes them when it comes to giving. If you have earned something by the work of your hands, pass it on as a ransom for your sins. Do not turn away from those who are in need, but share all things in common with your brothers.
Your heart shall not cling to the high and mighty, but turn to the good and humble folk. Accept as good whatever happens to you or affects you, knowing that nothing happens without God.

Like what you read today?

As the leaves surely change,
With time, so do we.
We grow and we learn,
From the things that we see.
Everything makes a difference,
Whether subtle or grand;
The heart can grow stronger,
And the mind will expand.

It's true, we're affected
By everything that's been said;
Every movie we've watched,
And all the books that we've read.

Though just like the leaves,
No two are akin;
Each one is unique
Like every person within.

And just like the seasons,
We're all changing as well;
For our lives are each different,
As are the stories we tell.

No matter how much we change,
You will always be special to me!
(for all my friends :) )

"Sucess is a metter of cooled decisions,
without constant hovering and changing
of the mind, acute observation, initiative,
and unremitting attention to a vast
amout of petty detials..."
Keep Smiling :):):)

Are You Afraid?

When things look dark and hopeless, that is the time to find out who your friends and neighbors really are. Or do you think you are the only one who is afraid? Look with new eyes at the people you meet daily, and you will quickly realize that everyone is frightened, at least at some level. But every time we share a burden like fear with another person, that burden is cut in half, and is replaced by love. Suddenly we will realize that we are not as alone as we thought we were.

Love is Never Silent
A loving heart, a gentle smile
a warm and tender touch
We give so many things in life
but nothing means as much.

A little inspirationwhen one loses hope,
A kind word of encouragement
when they no longer seem to cope.

A simple phrase, "I love you"
when no one else is there
Taking hold onto a hand
in a little heartfelt prayer.

Love is never silent
It has so much to say,
And it is our greatest blessing
when we give it all away.

A Nice Article about Love

Life is beautiful!!! Live it !!!

I once had a friend who grew to be very close to me. Once when we were sitting at the edge of a swimming pool, she filled the palm of her hand with some water and held it before me, and said this:"You see this water carefully contained on my hand? It symbolizes Love."This was how I saw it: As long as you keep your hand caringly open and allow it to remain there, it will always be there. However, if you attempt to close your fingers round it and try to posses it, it will spill through the first cracks it finds. This is the greatest mistake that people do when they meet love...they try to posses it, they demand, they expect... and just like the water spilling out of your hand, love will retrieve from you . For love is meant to be free, you cannot change its nature. If there are people you love, allow them to be free beings.Give and don't expect.Advise, but don't order.Ask, but never demand. It might sound simple, but it is a lesson that may take a lifetime to truly practice. It is the secret to true love. To truly practice it, you must sincerely feel no expectations from those who you love, and yet an unconditional caring."Passing thought... Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take; but by the moments that take our breath away.....
Life is beautiful!!! Live it !!!

Fundas of Life....
  • Winning isn't everything. But wanting to win is.
  • You would achieve more, if you don't mind who gets the credit.
  • When everything else is lost, the future still remains.
  • Don't fight too much. Or the enemy would know your art of war.
  • The only job you start at the top is when you dig a grave.
  • If you don't stand for something, you'll fall for everything.
  • If you do little things well, you'll do big ones better.
  • Only thing that comes to you without effort is old age.
  • You won't get a second chance to make the first impression.
  • Only those who do nothing do not make mistakes.
  • Change your thoughts and you change your world.

Meet new people, even if they look different to you.

Thoughts for Life

The greatest handicap: Fear
The best day: Today
The easiest thing to do: Find a fault
The most useless asset: Pride
The greatest mistake: Giving up
The biggest stumbling block: Egotism
The most disagreeable person: The complainer
The worst bankruptcy: Loss of enthusiasm
The greatest need: Common sense
The meanest feeling: Regret at another's success
The best gift: Forgiveness
The greatest moment: Death
The greatest knowledge: God
The greatest thing in the world: Love
A group of students were asked to list what they thought were the present
"Seven Wonders of the World." Though there were some disagreements,
the following received the most votes:

1. Egypt's Great Pyramids

2. Taj Mahal

3. Grand Canyon

4. Panama Canal

5. Empire State Building

6. St. Peter's Basilica

7. China's Great Wall

While gathering the votes, the teacher noted that one student
had not finished her paper yet. So she asked the girl if
she was having trouble with her list. The girl replied,
"Yes, a little. I couldn't quite make up my mind
because there were so many."
The teacher said, "Well, tell us what you have, and
maybe we can help.

"The girl hesitated, then read, "I think the
'Seven Wonders of the World' are:
1. To See
2. To Hear
3. To Touch
4. To Taste
5. To Feel
6. To Laugh
7. And to Love."

The room was so quiet you could have heard a pin drop.
The things we overlook as simple and ordinary and that
we take for granted are truly wondrous!
A gentle reminder --
that the most precious things in life
cannot be built by hand or bought by man.

don't be too busy to pass this along...!

Where there is pain,
I wish you peace and mercy.
Where there is self-doubting,
I wish you a renewed confidence
in your ability to work through it.
Where there is tiredness, or exhaustion,
I wish you understanding, patience,
and renewed strength.
Where there is fear,
I wish you love, and courage.
My wish from deep inside for all my relations, luv for all..:):)

The Greatest Pain in Life
The greatest pain in life is not to die, but to be ignored.
To lose the person you love so much to another who doesn't care at all.
To have someone you care so about so much throw a party... and not tell you about it.
When your favorite person on earth neglects to invite you to his graduation.
To have people think that you don't care.
The greatest pain in life, is not to die, but to be forgotten.
To be left in the dust after another's great achievement.
To never get a call from a friend, just saying "hi".
When you show someone your innermost thoughts and they laugh in your face.
For friends to always be too busy to console you when you need someone to lift your spirits.
When it seems like the only person who cares about you, is you.
Life is full of pain, but does it ever get better?
Will people ever care about each other, and make time for those who are in need?
Each of us has a part to play in this great show we call life.
Each of us has a duty to mankind to tell our friends we love them.
If you do not care about your friends you will not be punished.
You will simply be ignored... forgotten... as you have done to others.
Don't go for looks; they can deceive.
Don't go for wealth; even that fades away.
Go for someone who makes you smile,
because it only takes one smile to make a dark day seem bright!

Find the one that makes your heart smile.:) :) :)

During the War, a US marine was separated from his unit. The fighting had been intense, and in the smoke and the crossfire he had lost touch with his comrades.
Alone in the hills, he could hear enemy soldiers coming in his direction. Scrambling for cover, he found his way up a high ridge to several small caves in the rock. Quickly he crawled inside one of the caves. Although safe for the moment, he realized that once the enemy soldiers looking for him swept up the ridge, they would quickly search all the caves and he would be killed.
As he waited, he prayed, "Lord, if it be your will, please protect me. Whatever your will though, I love you and trust you. Amen."
After praying, he lay quietly listening to the enemy begin to draw close. He thought, "Well, I guess the Lord isn't going to help me out of this one.." Then he saw a spider begin to build a web over the front of his cave.
As he watched, listening to the enemy searching for him all the while, the spider layered strand after strand of web across the opening of the cave
"Ha, he thought. "What I need is a brick wall and what the Lord has sent me is a spider web. God does have a sense of humor." As the enemy drew closer he watched from the darkness of his hideout and could see them searching one cave after another. As they came to his, he got ready to make his last stand. To his amazement, however, after glancing in the direction of his cave, they moved on. Suddenly, he realized that with the spider web over the entrance, his cave looked as if no one had entered for quite a while. "Lord, forgive me," prayed the young man. "I had forgotten that in you a spider's web is stronger than a brick wall." We all face times of great trouble. When we do, it is so easy to forget the victories that God would work in our lives, sometimes in the most surprising ways. As the great leader, Nehemiah, reminded the people of Israel when they faced the task of rebuilding Jerusalem,
"In God we will have success!"

I'd like to capture a rainbow
and stick it in a big box so that,
anytime you wanted to,
you could reach in and pull out
a piece of sunshine.
I'd like to build you a mountain
that you could call your very own
a place to find serenity
in those times when you
feel the need to becloser to yourself...
I'd like to be the onewho's there when you're
lonely or troubled
or you just need
someone to hold on to.
I'd like to do all this and more
to make your life happy.
But, sometimes,it isn't easy to do
the things I would like to door give the things
I would like to give.
So...until I learn how to
catch rainbows and build mountains,
let me do for you which I know best...
..Let me simply be your friend.

" Look in those eyes... Listen to that dear voice... Notice the feeling of even a single touch that is bestowed upon you by that gentle hand ! Make much of it while yet you have that most precious of all gifts. Read the unfathomable love of those eyes; the anxiety of that tone and look, however slight is your pain. In after life you may have friends, fonds, dears, but never you will have again the inexpressible love & gentleness levished upon you which none but a mother bestows. "

Luv U my sweetest n most darling MOM
(Dedicated to all moms)

"Life is partly what we make it, and partly what it is made by the friends whom we choose."
JOURNEY OF LIFE........!!!
Welcome to our world, won't you come on in?
Things are so different here, won't you be my friend.
The canyons are deep, the mountains so high,
If you're just a little brave, please come nigh.
God is the potter, we are the clay,
In this locked up world we must stay.
We learn quickly to separate the chaff from the wheat,
Hoping all the while new friends we'll meet.
A word is just a word full of letters,
Many I hear saying, "You’ll be ok, you'll get better."
Groping for words, the tether slips,
Anger, confusion, and frustration come out my lips.
The whole time I'm begging for this to be a dream!
What can I do, what can I say?
Whoever reads this, just hope attention to it you'll pay!
I admire you immensely

Whenever you need me I'll be there.
I want you to know that I truly care.
When life knocks you down on your knees,
I'll be at your side just as fast as you please.
A shoulder to cry on when times are rough,
An encouraging word when you don't feel good enough.
An ear to listen to your hopes and your dreams,
A voice of moderation when you've gone to extremes.
Someone to share the good and the bad,
I will be the best friend you ever had!

Live life one day at a time. For it seems that when we are young,it is all an uphill climb. But when we get to the top,we are gravely disappointed.Because it is the little things in life that matter:Time spent with family and friends, and being there for one another. And time is one thing we cannot take back.I think that as a society, we are in sucha hurry to achieve all our goalsthat we miss out on the one thingwe should conserveand treasure:TIME.Before we know it, our time is up.It could be any day, any hour, any minute. It could be expected or unexpected.Have you spent your time wisely?

Take this time, this moment, to tell your friends and family what they mean to you.

but remember... it's OK to be afraid sometimes...

Everyday Comes and Goes
Each Night I'm Alone
I Can't Seem To Think Clearly
I'm Left Here On My Own
I Walk Down The Crowded Avenue
People All Around
Something Is not Here That I Miss
I Look Inside Myself
There Is Only Emptyness
Or I Can Walk On A Lonely road
No One Here By My Side
If I Told U I'm Happy Now
Thats Not the Truth...
I Lied...
I Could Continue This Path I'm On
I Could Probably Make It Through
I've Everything I Need To Get By
The Onething Missing In My Life
